How do I find what edition I’m running
I am running version 6.5.7638.1 (Exchange 2003) but Im not sure which edition it is (Standard orEnterprise). Is there a way to tell from the version number, the registry, etc? I need to order replacement install disks and need to know which edition to order. Thank you.

In Exchange 2003 Standard Edition database storage limit is 16GB / 75GB and in Enterprise Edition 8000GB. Based on this you can search for Application Event log 1216/1217. 1216 = Standard Edition 1217 = Enterprise Edition

Thank you for responding! I sorted my Application Event log and did NOT find 1216 or 1217 (it went from 1207 to 1221). Are there any other ways of telling?

Hi Dave, Go to Exchange System Manager -> Administrative Group -> Click on Servers -> Right side you can see all Servers, Types & Editions. OR If it has more then one Storage Groups then it is Enterprise, if it has only one then try to create a new Storage Group and if you can not then it is Standard Edition.

How can I figure out what edition my server roles are running with Exchange 2007 or Exchange 2010? On my CAS Roles, there's no databases to mount, so the 1216 and 1217 events are not present ...
